DONKEYS & fRIENDS ANIMALS ASSISTED THERAPY



The group will start up in the spring and is open to children that are disabled and their siblings.


The group will begin on April 3rd, 2022 every Sunday until June 19th except for Easter and May 29th. from 3:00p - 4:30p


The deadline for submitting an application is March 20th. The group is open for children 6-16 yrs. old space is limited

Donkeys & Friends Animal Assisted Therapy
We would like to welcome you to Donkeys & Friends group.

Please only sign your child up if you can commit to the group.

If for any reason you can’t attend call Holly at 518-643-2577 or text 518-569-1263.
If we are not notified for two weeks we will consider your children dropped from the group.
Safety Concerns and Rules!

1. If you arrive late please wait for the next activity to begin.

2. Please always walk while on the Farm!

3. Please do not climb on gates or over fences.

4. Please do not open any gates without a trained volunteer.

5. Animals do not like to be chased so we ask that you not run up to them, let them come to you.

6. Children must be accompanied by a volunteer when in any of the animal's areas.

7. Our donkeys are used as therapy animals and we ask that you not feed them from your hand.

8. All farm equipment is not safe to be on.

9. Please have your child sit down when holding the bunny.

10. Please dress for farm conditions, boots, coats, old clothes.

11. NYS now has inherent risk, If you enter into the areas you are assuming the risk

12. We also require a signed photo release expressing your wishes for children and family members to be photographed & or videotaped.

13. Please provide us with your current contact information

14. Please use hand cleanser before entering the farm and before leaving. Especially if your child has been sick or has recently eaten the donkey might smell food on their hands.

15. If your child comes with paid staff, the staff need to stay with the child at all times.


Parents are ok to hang out with the other adults we hope that you get a bit of respite.
Rules are kept to a minimum, but they are for everyone’s safety.
